How It Started
I remember spending long weekends at the curling club as a kid. Both of my grandparents and my mom curled when I was little and the curling club was a gathering place for my family every weekend it seemed. After years of playing with my brother in the restaurant of the club I became interested in what was going on on the ice. When I was seven I finally convinced my grandpa to take me down onto the ice and try it out for myself. As expected I couldn't even get the rock down the sheet of ice but from that moment on I was determined to be a curler. I had to wait until I was nine to start curling because the junior program had a minimum age. My first year curling was better than I expected and I have played every year since. I am now the skip of a provincial level junior/juvenile team. (Image on the left: My first time on curling ice. About 3 months old)
